Atom BB, Rep, 2014-2015 (West Northumberland Girls Hockey Association)

It is with great honor that  I report that our Atom BB team has made it to Championship Weekend March 27-29 2015.

This past weekend our Atom girls fought hard and once again achieved greatness. They battled Scarborough Sharks 3 times over the weekend and when it really counted they conquered and won the Championship Banner. Great playing, great coaching, and thank you to all our fans for supporting these wonderful young Hockey players. We would also like to Congratulate all the other Wild teams who won the Gold at our home tournament and to the Novice girls in Clarington great job on your Gold as well. WNGHA had one  "Wild" weekend for sure.

Our team was contacted by a coordinator from the Toronto Maple Leafs and asked our Atom BB to take part in an intermission feature called Ford Minor Hockey Challenge on December 16th 2014. We were only able to send one player from the team. Our lucky winner was our one and only Megan Sheehan.  Megan  had an oppotunity to shoot 8 pucks at the net from the blue line. Only able to advance if she scored. And Megan went 8 for 8 !  Well done Megan we are very proud of you. You made WILD look good. Check out our photo gallery for more pics of Megan at the Toronto Maple Leaf game.

Our Hockey family had a wonderful Celebration dinner with a wonderful courageous brave young girl Grace and her Mom, Dad, and sister.   I'm happy to say we have an incredible bond as a hockey family that nothing could break. Bowen's fight and we fight with them. Fight like a Girl~ Fight~ Defy~ Win~ Team Gracie Grace Bowen #23 you ROCK and we love all you Bowen's. 

Our Atom BB girls brought home the Silver Medal from Whitby Tournament of Heroes on December 7th. It was a great game they played. They lost 1-0 to Clarington Flames. They fought hard and played harder. It was truly amazing to watch these 8, 9 and 10 year old girls play as a team every second of that 32 minute game. So very proud of them. They have played in 4 tournaments and won an Gold and Silver and made it the semi finals in their Waterloo Tournament as well. With all this hard work and great coaching we are hoping for another Banner to bring home.
