Last Minor Hockey Regular Season Game For 6.
6 team-mates on the Midget "AA" Wild competed in their final minor hockey regular season game last night in a 1-0 win in Scarborough.
These players next season will all move on to the next stage of their lives and hockey careers.
(From left) Erin McNamara, Sarah Gundry, Alyson Morris, Aleah Balas, Sarah Fenton & Rachel Gibson who have all been excellent leaders on the Midget "AA" team this season will now look to assist their team with success in the playoffs & play-downs in this their final season as minor hockey participants.
McNamara will play PWHL and stay local in the Durham area to attend post secondary, Gundry is currently deciding on NCAA/ACHA offers, Morris will play in Virginia at Liberty University, Balas has a tryout invitation with Western University in the CIS, Fenton will attend University in Ottawa, (or Guelph) and Gibson has also signed with Liberty in Virginia alongside Morris.
It is an emotional time for players as they take the next step away from minor sports which has been such a big part of their lives since they were 4 years old. All of these girl's should be very proud of themselves for their accomplishments and opportunities.
