26.8 seconds left as Flames Curfew Game
Clarington lucky to hang on as our Midget "AA" Wild were pressing the 2nd place LLFHL Flames when the linesman blew the game dead citing a curfew with only 26.8 seconds remaining in the 3rd period.
Many Clarington fans (as well as Wild fans) were disappointed that such a great hockey game would end in such a manner.

Arena Staff at the South Courtice Arena were also surprised as the game was the last to be played that evening. The Head Referee was also surprised that the linesman called the game as it is typically his call, but decided not to overturn his linesman's call.
An excellent well fought game by both teams, the Wild with only 12 skaters played to an extremely high level to compete with the Fames and have shown their equality against the leagues top teams.
These teams have a chance to meet in the 1st round of the LLFHL Play-offs and what a series that would be.
A 3-2 loss for our Wild, but a great game.
Midget "AA" Wild head to Durham West Saturday & back home at the CCC Sunday vs. Kingston.

Arena Staff at the South Courtice Arena were very puzzled as to why the whistle went to end the game as they explained it was the last game of the evening.
Both teams fought hard and the Wild with only 12 skaters continue to prove their equality with the top teams in the LLFHL.
The team is off to Durham West Saturday and back home to the CCC on Sunday hosting Kingston at 730pm.
