Atom BB, Rep, 2015-2016 (West Northumberland Girls Hockey Association)

The Atoms did so well at Wickfest. 5 Perfect Games and 225 minutes of play in those 5 games; and they brought home the Gold. They played with so much heart and soul and determination. Grace was with them every step of the way. Congrats girls we are all so very proud of you. 

Okotoks Oilers gave our girls a special GB 23 Power Never Quits Teddy Bear for each of our girls. It was so thoughtful and overwhelming last night... Opening Ceremonies were amazing in honour of our sweet Grace. Such a special moment full of happiness and tears as we listened to her sweet voice sing O Canada last night. No words can say how we all feel to be here to represent her as our hearts break at the same time. We won our first game 12-0 what a way to start. Go wild

It is less than a week away and the girls will be playing their hearts and souls out and making a certain Angel GB23 very proud. We will put updates on Facebook pages and hopefully on here as well so the community can follow along with how we are making out in Calgary. We will be sporting special "Bowen Strong 23 Power Never Quits" Wickfest shirts in her honour. 

As the start of November our count down to Wickfest begins. We started off with a big win over Whitby on Sunday and then headed for a team gathering where the girls made chain link calendar's to count each day as we  get closer to our departure for Hayley Wickenheiser's World Female Hockey tournament in Calgary. Where our Atom BB girls will play in honour of our Grace Bowen #23. The girls are very excited and so are all of us parents. Emotional time for all we have tears of joy and tears of sorrow all the same time. #LIVELIKEGRACE# Bowen Strong. 

The following players have been released from the Atom BB team. 011 014 015 The remaining players are to be at the CCC pond at 530 pm, May 1st, for a parent meeting before the exhibition game vs. Peterborough. The final team roster will be posted after game on Friday. Thanks to all players for attending.
