COVID-19 Update on the Season
Based on recent trends and in alignment with the Town of Cobourg and the Cobourg Community Centres’ decision to remain closed until January 11, 2021 the WNGHA has decided to temporarily pause all hockey operations until the new year. This decision is based on overall community safety with the intent to further reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 within our community.

Effective Monday, December 14, 2020 all WNGHA sanctioned events will be postponed until January 11 at which point, we will re-evaluate the situation. It is our hope that by January 11 we will have had enough time to evaluate if we can safely resume the hockey season in January pending current case counts and where our public health region lies within the Province of Ontario’s COVID-19 Response Framework.

WNGHA is currently evaluating registration fee reimbursement options for players who have registered for the season and will provide a reimbursement for missed ice time in the new year.

The WNGHA would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time. We wish everybody a safe and happy holiday and can’t wait to see everyone again in the new year.
