Midget AA Program
It has come to our attention that in a recent interview with Randy Unes, VP of Hockey Operations for the Wellington Dukes about the Belleville Bearcats partnering with the Dukes on a Midget AA team for the upcoming 2019/2020 hockey season that there was a comment that “Cobourg recently lost their Midget AA team”.

We would like to assure everyone that the West Northumberland Girls Hockey Association (WNGHA) fully intends on having a Midget AA program for the upcoming season. We are committed to supporting our Midget AA program and the growth of girl’s hockey and are proud to develop and promote girls hockey within Northumberland County and the surrounding area in conjunction with the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA) at the house league, recreational, and competitive levels.

Our Midget AA program has seen huge success in the past few years with a number of girls from our organization going on to commit to playing NCAA hockey. We have also recently announced our Midget AA coach for the 2019/2020 season, Tyler Gubler who brings a plethora of coaching experience to our organization and to our Midget AA program.

If you have any questions at all about our organization or the programs that we run, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]
