Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
The West Northumberland Wild are honouring their teammate while raising awareness for childhood cancer.

There are 5 Wild teams playing in the Oshawa fall fest tournament this weekend.  Each wild player will be wearing a sticker with GB23 on their helmet, and every player on each team they face will receive a GB23 sticker. That’s 450 stickers  of raising awareness!

The Bantam A team will also be wearing yellow laces and have yellow tape on their sticks as they are Grace’s teammates that continue to play with Grace in their hearts. Many players who knew and love Grace will play with the raw integrity that drove Grace Bowen. They will always dig deep, drawing from having Grace as their living inspiration. It is safe to say Grace was and will continue to be a rock star,  and will Forever be on the ice.

Cancer is a terrible disease these girls should not be playing without Her.

Kids with cancer don’t need miracles they need research and new treatments!
