Midget A - Montreal Can/Am Champions!
Submitted By Veronica Marriott on Monday, December 3, 2018
The WNGHA Midget A team travelled to Montreal, Quebec Nov. 30 – Dec 2 for the Can/Am Challenge Cup Tournament. They won their 4 round robin games on Friday and Saturday, which then lead them to the Gold medal Championship game on Sunday.

This game ended in regulation time with a 2-2 tie.The teams then battled for 2-minute periods of 4 on 4, 3 on 3, 2 on 2, and eventually 1 on 1, when finally, Keira Eagleson popped one in the net to end the game!

The six teams in our Division also competed in a Shoot-Out & Relay Competition on Saturday, in between games, where the WNGHA team claimed the Runner Up prize!

It was a great weekend to be a hockey player for the West Northumberland WILD; bringing home gold medals and a banner!”
