New Skills Development Program Announcement
The WNGHA Wild Board is excited to announce the roll out of our new Skills Development Program for the 2016-2017 season. Each Rep Team will receive 5 sessions of skills development provided by Spike McCormick of Top Performance Training, http://www.topperformance.ca.  Spike McCormick is the owner of TPT and is a former Ohio State University Varsity Men's Hockey Player, and played professional hockey in Sweden.

The Wild Skills Development Plan will provide a unified development skills template that will maximize individual player's and team's potential by teaching the same core skills at each age group so that as they girls move on to the next age group, they have a foundation of skills from the prior year to build on.

With a unified development plan, focusing on core skills the end goal is
to create teams of players that are all highly skilled in skating, stick handling, shooting and passing. More skilled players, makes a more skilled team and makes implementing team tactics and systems much more efficient because our players are able to execute basic skills.

Please feel free to contact Spike for any feedback or questions regarding TPT or development. [email protected]

For any questions regarding the Wild Skills Development Plan, or feedback on the WNGHA Board's development strategy please feel free to contact Greg Brocanier, Director of Coach & Player Development at [email protected]
