FIRST TIME EVER NOVICE HOUSE LEAGUE ARE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS!
All girls played outstanding and the best their coaches have seen them all year, we could tell they REALLY wanted it. They finished 1st in the round robin beating 3 different Clarington teams by scores of 3-2, 2-1, and 10-1. The first two games being come from behind victories.

They went on to play Oshawa in the first round winning the game 3-1.  In the semi-finals faced the same Clarington team they faced in the first game and came away with a victory again by the same score of 3-2.  The Championship game was set for Sunday at 1:30pm at the Garnet B Richard arena; it would be West Northumberland Wild(1st) vs Georgina Golden Hawks(2nd).  Both teams having not lost a game.  It was a very close game with good chances at both ends of the rink.  Then halfway through the second period Grace Comes scored on a breakaway to give the Wild a 1-0 lead in the game.  With 2 minutes left in the game, the score still 1-0, the Georgina net empty and the face off deep in their zone the young novice team held their own and preserved Eva Ritchie's shutout, giving the girls an undefeated record at the tournament, the Gold Medal, and the Championship Banner.
